CALL WAITING
You can put one call on hold while you answer a second one, then
alternate between the two. This feature enables a single phone line to
function like two for incoming calls. If a third caller tries to reach you,
they'll get a busy signal or be forwarded to voice mail.
How To:

Use Call Waiting During A Call
A "beep" tone tells you that a call is waiting.
Press receiver button once and release it. This puts the first call on hold
and connects you to the second call.
To return to the first call, press receiver button once and release it.
You will connect with the first caller.

Temporarily Cancel Call Waiting Before Making A Call
Push *70 or dial 1170 on a rotary phone.
Listen for a dial tone and then dial the number you wish to call.
When you hang up, Call Waiting is automatically reactivated.
NOTE: You must do this before placing each call.
